Evaluasi Suplementasi Vitamin C, Vitamin E, dan Kombinasinya terhadap Leukosit dan Diferensial Leukosit Darah Kambing Jawarandu Jantan

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit dalam darah kambing Jawarandu jantan yang diberi suplementasi vitamin C, vitamin E, dan kombinasinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan menggunakan 12 ekor kambing Jawarandu Jantan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 (ransum basal tanpa penambahan vitamin C dan vitamin E), P1 (ransum basal dengan vitamin C 100 mg/ekor/hari), P2 (ransum basal dengan vitamin E 50 IU/ekor/hari), dan P3 (ransum basal dengan vitamin C 100 mg/ekor/hari dan vitamin E 50 IU/ekor/hari). Pemeriksaan sampel darah dilakukan di Pro Lab Veterinary, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian vitamin C tunggal (P1) dapat meningkatkan jumlah basofil, vitamin E tunggal (P2) dapat meningkatkan neutrofil dan monosit, sedangkan kombinasi vitamin C dan E (P3) dapat meningkatkan limfosit dan eosinofil. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian vitamin C 100 mg/ekor/hari menghasilkan total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit paling baik dibandingkan perlakuan vitamin E maupun kombinasi vitamin C dan E, dengan nilai neutrofil 6,88 × 10³/µL, limfosit 6,27 × 10³/µL, monosit 0,43 × 10³/µL, eosinofil 0,29 × 10³/µL, dan basofil 0,14 × 10³/µL.
