Analisis Korelasi dan Regresi antara Volume Tubuh dengan Bobot Tubuh Kambing Saburai Menggunakan Persamaan Linear (Studi Kasus di Kelompok Ternak Tani Makmur II kecamatan Gisting Kabupaten Tanggamus Provinsi Lampung)

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the correlation and regression between body weight (BW) and body volume (BV) which was calculated from body length (BL) and chest girth (CG), in female Saburai goats in Kelompok Tani Makmur II, Gisting District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province which was carried out in January 2023. The livestock used in this study were Saburai female goats aged 1—3 years as many as 33 heads and not pregnant. The method used was a survey with purposive sampling using case studies to collect data. The data obtained was tabulated using the excel program. Data were analyzed by correlation analysis and linear regression between the independent variables (BL, CG, and BV) and the dependent variable (BW) using the R program. The results showed that CG, BL, and BV had a correlation with the body weight of female Saburai goats, where CG had a strong correlation with a value of 0.7586; BL has a strong correlation with a value of 0.7419; and BV has a strong correlation value with a value of 0.8408. While the regression equation between chest girth (CG), body length (BL), and body volume (BV) on body weight were BW = -50.1805 + 1.1924CG; BW =-25.1642 + 0.8728BL; BW = 5.8799 + 0.001BV, respectively, with the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.6378; 0.5504; and 0.7070, respectively.
